THE TOP 3 SUPPLEMENTS WE RECOMMEND FOR KRAVE ATHLETES

Not long ago, I was talking with a woman in her mid-30s who was ready to take her health and fitness more seriously. She wanted to start working out, clean up her nutrition, have more energy, and feel strong again. So, like most of us do when we don't know something... she went online. One person said she needed detox supplements. Another said every woman needed collagen. Then came pre-workout, greens, reds, BCAAs, and a bunch of other stuff. Before long, she had a list of NINE supplements she thought she needed just to get started.
The problem? She had NO IDEA what most of them did or why she needed them. So I told her, "Let's slow this WAY down." You don't need nine supplements to get healthy. Let's focus on what actually moves the needle first: train consistently, eat good food and enough protein, drink water, sleep, and recover. Get really good at the basics before worrying about everything else.
Supplements are exactly what the name says—they supplement the work you're already doing. They won't fix bad nutrition, replace sleep, or do the work for you. More workouts, more cardio, more supplements, and more rules usually just create more confusion—not more results. So let's keep it simple. At Krave, there are THREE supplements we recommend first for Athletes who are training and want to support their results.
01. CREATINE
If we had to pick ONE supplement for someone who strength trains, this would probably be it. Creatine helps your muscles make energy when you train. That can help you train harder, get stronger, and build muscle over time. And no, creatine is not just for bodybuilders.
If you strength train, creatine can be a great addition to what you're already doing.
The best part? It's SIMPLE.
For most people, 3–5 grams every day is all you need. You don't have to take it at the perfect time. You don't need some crazy creatine schedule. Just take it every day.
KRAVE TIP: Put it somewhere you'll see it. Add it to your shake, water, or another drink and move on with your day. Consistency wins.
02. PROTEIN
This one is pretty simple too. When you train, you're asking your muscles to WORK. Protein helps your body rebuild and recover after that work. That doesn't mean you need to drink five protein shakes a day. You just need to hit the goal in grams each day (and a shake is a simple way to do that)
We want most of your protein to come from REAL FOOD. Chicken. Beef. Eggs. Greek yogurt. Cottage cheese. Fish. Milk. But we also know life gets BUSY.
Sometimes you're running out the door. Sometimes you don't have time to cook. Sometimes you get to the end of the day and realize you're nowhere close to your protein goal.
That's where a protein shake can help.
At Krave, we recommend 1st Phorm, and there are three protein options we really like.
LEVEL-1
Think of Level-1 as your everyday protein. It's great for breakfast, a snack, a smoothie, protein coffee, or anytime you need an easy way to get more protein.
PHORMULA-1
Phormula-1 is a faster-digesting protein. This makes it a great option around your workouts, especially when you want to get protein in after you train. Session is done. Slam your shake. Move on with your day. KEEP IT SIMPLE.
CLEAR PROTEIN
If you're someone who says... "I hate protein shakes." or if you just love the juice flavor to sip on throughout the day. Try this one.
Clear Protein is lighter and more like a juice or sports drink instead of a thick, creamy shake. You still get the protein without feeling like you're drinking another milkshake.
KRAVE TIP: Protein powder isn't better than real food. It's just EASY. Use it to fill the gaps when you need it.
03. PRE-WORKOUT
First things first.
You do NOT need pre-workout to have a good workout. I promise you can still squat without it. But sometimes a little extra energy helps. Maybe you train at 5:00 AM. Maybe you just worked all day and are trying to find the energy to get through your 5:30 PM Team Session. Maybe you just like that little extra boost before you train. That's where pre-workout can help.
But there are TWO main options we want you to understand.
STIMULANT PRE-WORKOUT
A stimulant pre-workout has caffeine.
It can help give you more energy and focus before you train. If you train early in the morning, this may be a great option. But MORE caffeine doesn't mean MORE results. And if you take a bunch of caffeine at 6:00 PM and then stare at your ceiling until 1:00 AM...
We've got a problem. Sleep is part of your training too.
NON-STIMULANT PRE-WORKOUT
This gives you a pre-workout option WITHOUT the caffeine. If you train later at night, already drink a lot of coffee, or are sensitive to caffeine, this may be the better choice. You can still support your workout without feeling wired when it's time to go to bed.
KRAVE TIP: Pick your pre-workout based on WHEN you train and how your body responds to caffeine. Don't sacrifice a good night of sleep just to have a little more energy for one workout.
SO...WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED?
You could spend hundreds of dollars every month on supplements. You don't need to. Just start with the basics.
CREATINE to support strength and performance.
PROTEIN to help you hit your protein goals and recover.
PRE-WORKOUT if you want a little extra energy before training.
Then focus on what matters MOST. Train consistently. Eat good food. Drink water. Get your protein. Sleep. Recover. Keep showing up. Because here's what we want you to remember:
Supplements SUPPORT the work. They don't DO the work.
